Research

Our research focuses on the use of protein X-ray crystallography to understand protein functions. We are currently carrying out functional and structural studies of several proteins including antimicrobial peptides from the black tiger shrimp Penaeus monodon, carbohydrate modifying enzymes, viral proteins and histamine-forming enzymes. The laboratory maintains equipment for large-scale protein production and X-ray diffraction facility.
